Isogi-san no Sato-san

Mr. Sato the Hasty

Mr. Sato is always in a hurry. When he is working, it seems as if he is wrestling with objects. His movements are quick and precise, almost as if he is fighting against time. His colleagues often look at him in amazement, wondering how he can accomplish so much in such a short amount of time.

When Mr. Sato is walking, it’s as if he is participating in a sprint. His feet barely touch the ground before he takes the next step, and passersby can only just catch a glimpse of him.

However,Mr. Sato’s true energy shines when he is driving. Riding in a car with him is an adventure in itself. As soon as he starts the engine, it feels like being in a rally. The tires scream around corners, and on straight roads, it feels like being on a race track.

Sitting next to him, I often imagine there’s a clutch pedal under my seat, and I subconsciously press down to try to slow his speed. With each turn, our bodies move in sync with the car’s tilt, almost like a choreographed dance. Sometimes, fear grips me, and I feel like asking him to slow down.

Amazingly, despite this intense energy and speed, Mr. Sato remains incredibly calm. He smiles, his eyes gleaming with enjoyment, genuinely savoring his busy day. His calmness is almost comical in contrast to his actions.

You might wonder if this way of life is good. I am certain it is. If Mr. Sato spoke loudly and intensely but acted slowly, I would worry about his way of life. A person who fights against time understands the importance of time. By living this way, Sato is undoubtedly on the path to success.

Thus, spending each day with Mr. Sato is a lesson in valuing every second and understanding that sometimes, speed can be a precious ally.

M. Sato, l’homme pressé

M. Sato est toujours pressé. Quand il travaille, on dirait qu’il lutte contre les objets. Ses mouvements sont rapides et précis, comme s’il se battait contre le temps. Ses collègues le regardent souvent avec étonnement, se demandant comment il peut accomplir autant de choses en si peu de temps.

Quand M. Sato marche, c’est comme s’il participait à un sprint. Ses pieds touchent à peine le sol avant de faire le prochain pas, et les passants ne peuvent que l’apercevoir.

Cependant, la véritable énergie de M. Sato se révèle lorsqu’il conduit. Monter en voiture avec lui est une aventure en soi. Dès qu’il met le moteur en marche, on a l’impression d’être dans un rallye. Les pneus crissent dans les virages, et sur les routes droites, on se croirait sur un circuit de course.

Assis à côté de lui, j’imagine souvent qu’il y a une pédale d’embrayage sous mon siège, et je l’enfonce inconsciemment pour essayer de ralentir sa vitesse. À chaque virage, nos corps bougent en synchronisation avec l’inclinaison de la voiture, comme dans une danse chorégraphiée. Parfois, la peur me saisit, et j’ai envie de lui demander de ralentir.

Étonnamment, malgré cette énergie et cette vitesse intenses, M. Sato reste incroyablement calme. Il sourit, ses yeux brillent de plaisir, savourant sincèrement sa journée bien remplie. Son calme est presque comique en contraste avec ses actions.

Vous pourriez vous demander si ce mode de vie est bon. J’en suis certain. Si Sato parlait fort et intensément mais agissait lentement, je m’inquiéterais pour son mode de vie.
